Shah Rukh Khan has taken a gap of 5 years since his Zero debacle in 2018 till Pathaan 2023 release. The SPY Universe film from big production house YRF has introduced Pathaan character in an explosive manner. In fact, the movie crossed huge Rs.1000 crores gross worldwide with close to US$50 Million from Overseas markets. 


The movie became first original Hindi language film to achieve this feat while Dangal has been dubbed in Chinese language for its release. So, Shah Rukh Khan has been able to announce his comeback in a big way to the world and Indian Cinema. Before Zero, he faced disaster like Jab Harry Met Sejal and even Dilwale, Raees did not work big time. 


Post Pathaan, he consolidated his position has numero uno with Jawan, another 1000 crores grosser for Hindi Cinema in the same year. His much awaited Dunki managed to collect only 450 crores gross rounding up 2023 as his big comeback year. The actor took one year gap again to start his next. 


While many thought Siddharth Anand, the director of WAR and Pathaan would be busy with Pathaan vs Tiger, an Avengers type film for Spy Universe, the movie has been postponed for now. So, the big action films director has joined hands with Shah Rukh Khan for his upcoming King. 


Previously, Sujoy Ghosh had been announced as the director but now, Siddharth Anand will direct it while Sujoy will be the writer. Suhana Khan, SRK's daughter, is anticipated to play an important role in the film. SRK fans are jubiliant with this news and the movie will go on floors from March 2025.
