Samyuktha says, Virupaksha film is an adventurous Journey

Supreme hero Sai Dharam Tej's upcoming film Virupaksha has caught a fair amount of buzz in the last few days. It is a mystic thriller directed by Karthik Dandu. Already released trailer of the film promises a chilling mystic thriller. Samyuktha Menon is playing the female lead in the film and it is produced by SVCC and Sukumar Writings. Sukumar wrote the screenplay for the film. The team is currently busy with promotions. As the release date is nearing, the gorgeous beauty Samyuktha Menon interacted with media about the film.

The actress impressed everyone recently with her cute and innocent performance in Vaathi/SIR. The 'Bimbisara' actress believes that her performance in the Karthik Dandu directorial will go down as her best. "I want to become a better actress with each film,"

Virupaksha' is set in a fictional village named Rudravanam. It is a village on a hilltop with a few hundred houses in which people have their own beliefs. Nandini is my character's name. She is in her 20s, she has a bit attitude, and she is straightforward and frank, Samyuktha says talking about her character traits. The way she talks, the way she walks everything emerges from her characterization.

Talking about nearly 2 years of Virupaksha adventurous journey, she said "My journey has been very long with Virupaksha. We did workshops for 'Virupaksha'. I got into the skin of the character right from that time. I didn't know even one Telugu word at that time. I was getting nervous, although I was concealing my anxiety. I had to get a grip on the language. I hired a tutor. During the second wave of the pandemic, I brushed up on my language furthermore."

Talking about the film and it's genre, she said "This is a mystical thriller with commercial elements. It’s not a horror film, but people might feel scared. That depends on the tolerance levels of the audience. Anyhow I am not playing a ghost. The film happens in the 1990s period."

Talking about all the efforts for the film, she said "I always believed that it would always be worth it. My efforts have paid off. After yesterday's pre-release screening, cinematographer Shamdat called me up and described my performance as amazing. His words made me emotional."

Samyuktha says, she will definitely get good marks for her character and she is also confident that every artist in the film has got a nice role which is important for the film. "Every character will have its prominence. That’s the brilliance of screenplay. Even birds and animals have well-written roles. There is a tailor, there is a milkman, there are others who have their purpose in the story."

Talking about producers and musician, she said "SVCC, the production house, has been great ever since the workshops began. They have done big-ticket projects and I am proud to be associated with them on 'Virupaksha'. This is composer Ajaneesh Loknath's first big release after last year's 'Kantara'. The team is really happy with the background score."

Talking about Sai Dharam Tej hard work and efforts for Virupaksha, she said "Sai Dharam Tej is chatty with everyone on set. He is always cool. He passes jokes and gets along with one and all. And after the road accident he had to do so much hardwork to regain his strength. I want this film to be a blockbuster for Sai Tej."

Talking about her next projects, she said "Devil with Nandamuri Kalyanram is my next theatrical release. We completed the shoot recently. After Devil, I am yet to sign a film. I am in talks with a few filmmakers, and I will take a decision after Virupaksha’s release. I want to see how people will react to my character in it. I can't switch to modern characters all of a sudden. I have to do it gradually."
