Actress Samantha recently released Shaakuntalam which became biggest disaster in her career. But she is currently on signing spree and completing the projects in her kitty.

She has already wrapped up Citadel’s Indian version with Varun Dhawan, while Kushi with Vijay Deverakonda is nearing completion. And here’s an update on Sam’s maiden English film, Chennai Story.

As per the latest updates, Chennai Story’s regular shoot will kick-start very soon, and Samantha will be filming crucial scenes. Chennai Story is based on N Murali’s popular novel, Arrangement of Love. The film is being directed by Hollywood filmmaker Philip John and it stars Samantha and Vivek Kalra in lead roles. 

The movie is all about a young man who travels to Chennai following his mother’s demise and takes the help of a female detective to find his father. She also has a couple of big budget movies in Hindi and Tamil in her kitty.
