SS Rajamouli's masterpiece Baahubali 2: The Conclusion starring Prabhas and Rana is breaking records all over India and making a few abroad as well. However, the film has infuriated quite a few people.
Members of a group called the Arekatika Porata Samithi filed a complaint with the Hyderabad police against SS Rajamouli. And the reason is, he has allegedly hurt the sentiments of the Katika community.
In the film, Katappa (Sathyaraj) utters a dialogue, "Katika cheekati" in the second half. The group which has lodged the complaint says that the term is a 'caste insult' and since they are from the Katika caste, the dialogue was 'humiliating their community name'.
The group has also filed a complaint with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) where it has demanded for the words to be removed.
However, it is heard that no case has been registered against the makers of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion yet, as the police are taking legal advice.
Interim, the Happy team of Baahubali is in London for the film's Premier at BFI tonight 7PM (local time).
