Director Shankar is known for making high budget entertainers with top stars. He updates himself and exploits latest technology to make visual wonders. Shankar’s latest flick Robo 2.0 starring superstar Rajinikanth is being made with a gigantic budget of Rs 450 crores, which is highest for any Indian film.
It would be a worrying factor for producers if a film of that budget didn’t have Rajinikanth in lead role and Shankar helming it. With two big names on board, Robo 2.0 is making immense pre-release business. The film is sequel to the then industry hit Robo, which is the biggest reason for enormous buzz on it.
As per reports, makers hope Robo 2.0 to make 1000 crores pre-release business. The film is said to have made Rs 110 crores business, in terms of satellite rights for all languages. While some condemn these business reports, others say it is a reasonable price for a Rajinikanth-Shankar combo film.
The biggest question is will Robo 2.0 pre-release business reaches the magic figure of Rs 1000 crores. We need to wait and see…
