Shaakuntalam', touted to be Samantha's magnum opus, will arrive at the cinemas on April 14th. To be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, this Gunasekhar-directed film is produced by Neelima Guna and presented by Dil Raju. The massively mounted film Shaakuntalam based on internationally acclaimed Kalidasa’s Sanskrit play ‘Abhijnana Shakuntalam.’
The teaser, songs and trailer received good response from audience. Today makers released the film's release trailer. Nearly 90 seconds trailer, introduces Shakuntala, the daughter of Menaka and Vishwamitra, and how she is yet again abandoned by love. King Dushyant falls in love with Shaakuntala's bewitching looks and praises her beauty "Ledi Kannulu, Nemali Nadaka, Sivangi Nadumu."
Everyone is taken aback by the grandeur and meticulous detail in each frame. The trailer's poetic and emotional tone is set by heartwarming dialogue and score. A surprise element of the pure magical love story is the war setup, and the 3D version will take it to the next level. Samantha and Dev Mohan chemistry looks refreshing.
This movie is going to be a visual feast, no doubt about it. This prestigious project has its music composed by Mani Sharma. The ensemble star cast includes Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhu Bala, Gautami and many other notable actors. This is Allu Arha's debut film.
