Renowned Telugu writer and novelist Dr Ravuri Bharadwaja has won the prestigious Jnanpith award for the year 2012. The legendary writer has won this award for his book 'Paakudu Rallu' which reveals the lives of South Indian actress during 60's and 70's. Ravuri already has 2 sahitya akademi awards to his credit and he has published more than 37 volumes of short stories and 17 novels. Andhra University, JNTU and Nagarjuna University have conferred Ravuri Bharadwaja with honorary doctorates.
