Several Telugu cinema heavyweights are running behind Ram Charan to either remake Khaidi or to do Khaidi sequel with Ram Charan but this young star is evading all appointments. Few of the noted personalities include Paruchuri brothers and few other leading producers are awaiting Ram Charan's nod for khadi but all the efforts seems to be in vain. So why is Ram Charan refusing to remake the yesteryear blockbuster starring his dad Chiranjeevi?

Ram Charan admits that Khaidi is the movie that has changed his dad Chiranjeevi's fortunes in Telugu cinema in the 1980's. He even agreed that Khaidi was the movie that has made Chiranjeevi turned into a commercial hero but Charan skips to answer questions as to why is he not remaking the movie. Sources say that Ram Charan wants to concentrate on contemporary commercial formula movies. He wants to create his own niche by doing experimental movies. Charan further clarified that he even will not do any remakes of his dad's movies.
