Rajinikanth returns home: Superstar Rajinikanth returns to Chennai after being treated in Singapore for more than a month. Rajinikanth was accompanied by his wife Latha Rajinikanth, daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya. Rajinikanth was given a rousing reception at the Chennai airport and fans turned out in large number and police literally have to lati-charge the fans to control the situation. Rajiniknath waved his hands and thanked everyone for their support and prayers. The actor was escorted by special police, who saw him through.

Family sources say that Rajinikanth would take rest for some time at his farm house in Chennai and would then resume shooting for the movie 'Rana', directed by KS Ravikumar and produced by Ochre Studios headed by his daughter Soundarya. Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is playing the lead heroine besides Rajinikanth in Rana. Earlier Rajinkanth fans have put up hoardings, festoons, banners and posters carrying the message 'Welcome back' along the roads leading to the airport.
