Versatile actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is playing the female lead in her upcoming female driven film Sabari which is up for release on the 3rd of May. The Anil Katz directorial is produced by Mahendra Nath Kondla and it is getting a pan Indian release and on the occasion, the producer spoke with the media and here's what he said.
Talking about himself, he said "I was born in Guntur and later moved to the USA where I own consultancy firms and other businesses. I am here with the aim of fulfilling my long-standing aspiration of making films."
Talking about how Sabari happened, he said "The main reason why we did the film is because of Varalaxmi Sarathkumar garu. After the director told me the script and I like it, we sent it to Varalaxmi garu and she immediate liked it. She has been a backbone of our film right from the start."
Sharing working experience with Varalaxmi, he said "It was indeed a wonderful experience. She is a wonderful artist and a great human being. She always looked to safeguard the producer and never did she do something even remotely close to increasing the budget of our film. In fact, she used to help us keep the budget in check."
Talking about the film, he said "The film has a strong mother-daughter emotion and the emotional core is too strong for me to turn down. I believed this story has endless potential and the better we produce and enhance it, the more it will appear to the audience. That is exactly what we did and we are hopeful that you all will love our film."
Talking about the action in Sabari, he said "The action part is channelled by the story and the emotional crux of the film. The action will be brilliantly blended with the main narrative and it will keep you on the edge of your seats."
Talking about his experience, he said "Right from a young age, I had the scheduling of working 18 hours a day. I have no complaints about my debut film. As is always the case, there were a few turbulences along the course of the production but I had the support of my cast and crew to fuel me through this journey."
Talking about the budget, he said "True. The budget that was initially proposed for the film and the final budget that we ended up spending are not even comparable. But I always wanted to give the very best to the audience so I never stepped back on the budget aspect."
Talking about next projects, he said "I have lined up films with Varun Sandesh and Bigg Boss Amar Deep. The film with Amar Deep will feature Surekha Vani's daughter Supritha in the female lead role."
