Bollywood Baadshah’s heartwarming drama, Dunki, has hit the silver screens today, Prabhas’ Salaar is gearing up for a humongous release worldwide in a few hours. Nearly Rs 1,000 crores are riding on both these Christmas biggies.

The unprecedented hype is clearly evident in the massive pre-sales being registered by both the movies at the domestic and overseas box offices. As per the latest trade updates from the US, Salaar is trending higher than Dunki in the pre-sales for the premieres and the opening weekend.

Salaar has ended its USA pre-sale collection with a whopping $1.80M gross from 749 locations and 68,703 tickets. Including the North American advance collection, Salaar might end up grossing close to $2.5M and may even beat Baahubali The Conclusion’s day 1 record of $2.5M.

On the other hand, Dunki has managed to gross $410K from the premieres and day 1 from 577 locations and 30,105 tickets. Including the North American pre-sales for the FDFS premieres and day 1, Dunki might end up with a total gross of $800K eventually.
