Popular Kannada producer Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah, who worked with Rakshit Shetty for films like Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu, Kirik Party, Avane Srimannarayana has claimed Nani's Hi Nanna as unofficial remake of his film, Bheema Sena Nala Maharaja. He posted on his Instagram story stating that Nani should have shame for doing so.

Nani's Hi Nanna directed by Shouryuv with Mrunal Thakur as leading lady became a hit upon release in 2023. The movie has good amount of following with people liking songs and emotional scenes. Out of blue, Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah claiming that the movie is a copy of his film shocked many. 

In the replies to his post, many who watched both the films are stating that his claims have no good base. They are stating that both the stories are completely different and Hi Nanna is a not copy of that film. We have to wait and see how Nani will react to these claims.
