Now pan India films are releasing a range of sequels as well as big-budget films. Many films are made in Telugu, in particular. However, in this trend of sequels, it is our Tollywood filmmaker SS Rajamouli who has had a big success and has given hope to other directors.

Many filmmakers have publicly stated that Rajamouli's "Baahubali" series is the reason for the release of many such films, even for a massive franchise like KGF. Now, Mani Ratnam, another legendary Indian filmmaker, has made some fascinating remarks about SS Rajamouli at the Chola Chola song launch event.

He said "I want to thank Rajamouli Garu for opening the doors for all of us to make films on a huge canvas. He has shown us how to tell stories in two parts and be successful. I think Ponniyin Selvan is possible today because of Baahubali." These interesting comments about SS Rajamouli became viral.

He also thanked Megastar Chiranjeevi but did not tell why and teased everyone by stating, "You'll find out soon enough."
