Updated : Jun 23, 2026

Manchu Lakshmi once again found herself at the centre of attention — this time for calling out a journalist during a recent press interaction in Hyderabad. The incident happened at the launch event of Aha’s upcoming reality show Top Telugu Influencer, where Lakshmi appeared alongside anchor Rashmi Gautam and comedian Harsha Chemudu as hosts.

During the media interaction, a journalist reportedly brought up Sudigali Sudheer while questioning Rashmi Gautam and asked why his name was being avoided during the promotional activities of the show. Rashmi handled the situation calmly and responded that the team had come there purely to promote the show.

However, Manchu Lakshmi was visibly unhappy with the line of questioning. Taking the microphone, she strongly reacted and questioned why unrelated topics were repeatedly being brought up for views and clickbait instead of focusing on the actual show. Her comments quickly became a talking point across social media.

Apart from the heated moment, Lakshmi also lightened the atmosphere at the event by dancing on stage to the popular track “Ranu Mumbai Ki Ranu,” joking that she now connects with the song because she has settled in Mumbai. Videos from the event have since gone viral online.

Interestingly, many social media users appeared to support Lakshmi’s stance, saying promotional events should focus more on content rather than repeatedly revisiting unrelated celebrity gossip.
