Superstar Mahesh Babu did early press interviews with Hollywood media in November 2025, after his next movie, Varanasi title reveal. Being directed by SS Rajamouli, the star revealed that he had to change his posture and learn Kalari for 6 months. He even changed his running style to play Lord Rama character. 


He revealed that while the running shot remains for just few seconds, SSR wanted him to change and look different. Mahesh also revealed he got so entwined in training and changing postures, that he did unknowingly put up a posture during his vacation trip with family. People wondered if he was doing alright, he joked. 


Further he revealed that he has a lot to talk about the film but he cannot at the moment. He revealed that post RRR, after an year, when he was wondering if Rajamouli would be willing to work or not, the director narrated the script at his office. He stated that he was thrilled to listen to it and couldn't speak for few minutes. 


Humorously he revealed that when he texted that he loves how SSR presents his heroes, the director replied about loving his villains more. Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran are playing other lead roles in the movie. Varanasi is produced by Durga Arts and Showing Business and it is planned for 7th April 2027 release.
