Mega Power Star Ram Charan and Superstar clashed at box office for twice previously. In Sankranthi battle in 2013- both Charan's Nayak and Mahesh Babu's Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu turned out as hits. Then, the duo clashed for 2014 Sankranthi with their respective films Yevadu and 1-Nenokkadine. While Charan's film became a winner, Mahesh's movie bombed at BO.

Mahesh Babu and Charan are ready for third battle which is set to happen for Sankranthi 2018. Mahesh's new film Bharath Anu Nenu directed by Koratala Siva will hit the screens during Sankranthi next year. Makers of Charan's ongoing project Rangasthalam 1985 who unveiled first look poster yesterday announced to release their film for the same festival.

Generally, stars and filmmakers make sure to release their films during holidays, especially for festivals like Sankranthi and Dussehra. Besides Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan, few other stars are expected to join the Sankranthi race.
