There have been speculations that, young tiger Jr NTR will reprise his grandfather Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao in veteran actress Savitri's biopic film Mahanati which is being directed by Nag Ashwin of Yevade Subrahmanyam fame. However, sources close to the film that has Keerthy Suresh playing the lead role condemned the reports stating NTR being a part of Mahanati is just pure speculation and there's nothing more to it at this time.

In fact, Nag Ashwin has been looking for an actor to reprise Sr NTR in the film as the legendary worked in several films with Savitri. The director is also looking to cast right artists to play other important roles of senior actors who were a part in Savitri's life.

On the other hand, NTR is presently busy wrapping up Bobby directing Jai Lava Kusa which is slated for release in September. Interim, the film's first look teaser will be releasing in July first week.
