Shreyas Talpade and Kajal Aggarwal lead the powerful new narrative in the upcoming film, The India Story: Slow Poison in Progress. The recently released teaser highlights the dark reality of pesticide farming and its devastating impact on society. Presented by Zee Studios in association with MIG Production & Studios, the thought-provoking project is directed by Chettan DK and produced by Sagar B. Shinde.
The compelling teaser gives viewers a stark look into the dangerous truth of everyday food consumption. It captures the protagonists' intense fight for justice against a system that allows toxic substances to enter the daily diets of millions. Through a deeply emotional narrative, the footage effectively showcases the severe health risks this hidden crisis poses, particularly to the younger generation.
Sharing his thoughts on the project, director Chettan DK explained that the film aims to spark a much-needed conversation about this silent health crisis. Shreyas Talpade stated that he was drawn to the subject because it affects every household, hoping audiences connect with his character's fight against a massive system. Kajal Aggarwal also expressed that the story deeply resonated with her as a mother, wishing to raise awareness about the food we consume and its future impact.
The movie is supported by a talented technical team, including music composer Mangesh Dhakde, cinematographer Nishant Bhagwat, and editor Ashish Mhatre. Backed by co-producers Swati Vinayak Saindane, Anita Jadhav, and others, The India Story is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on July 24th, and will be available in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
