Fight masters Ram-Laxman were originally considered for the role in Dongala Muta movie before Sunil. Director Ram Gopal Varma has asked the action choreographer duo to play the lead role and they have obliged it seems. RGV has even done the photo shoot of Ram-Laxman for and all seems well. Just when the movie would go on to the sets within couple of days, Ram-Laxman got a call from Balakrishna-Paruchuri Murali’s movie and they had to cancel the dates given to RGV and had to go back to work for  Balakrishna-Paruchuri Murali movie.

During the Balakrishna-Paruchuri Murali movie shooting, unfortunately the movie’s cameraman Vijay Kumar was injured and it was reported that it takes another couple of months for the cameraman to recover and resume the shooting. So Ram-Laxman gave their couple of months dates to RGV for Dongala Muta movie. But the movie unit suddenly roped in another cameraman, and resumed the shooting and called Ram-Laxman for Balakrishna movie, they had to forgo RGV’s Dongala Muta movie. Later, RGV selected Sunil as hero.
