K Raghavendra Rao introduced stylish star Allu Arjun with his 100th film Gangotri which was a runaway hit. The senior director revealed few interesting facts about the film in his television show in a popular channel.
KRR initially thought of making a mega multistarrer project with Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna playing lead roles. Allu Aravind, Ashwini Dutt and Suresh Babu were supposed to bankroll the project on grand scale. Even though the star producers were ready to invest massive budget on the film, KRR dropped it.
“I didn’t want to risk the producers to make my 100th film gigantically. Thus, I dropped it and instead made a small budget movie Gangotri to introduce Bunny,” informed KRR.
The veteran filmmaker also unveiled that, Allu Aravind and others didn’t have confidence on the project when they watched it in editing room without BGM. But, KRR convinced them by portraying the story with BGM (with his voice).
Fortunately, Gangotri went on to become a big hit and Allu Arjun made grand entry in Tollywood.
Meanwhile, KRR’s latest directorial Om Namo Venkatesaya with Nagarjuna is all set to release on February 10th.
