Will Ravi able to earn money in an easy way ? Will Bittu get away with the robbery? All these must be watched on the big screen.
Analysis :
First half of the movie is entertaining with director Trivikram Srinivas's mark comedy. Right from the starting scene of the movie, Julayi offers adequate entertainment. The introduction block where Sonu Sood robs the bank and the way Allu Arjun predicts the robbery was shot in a terrific way. Ileana's characterization is very good and it need lot of guts for a director to show a heroine in a DE-glamorized way and Trivikram Srinivas has succeeded in this. Pre climax episode could have been executed much better without unwanted graphics, but Trivikram's mesmerizing dialogues has almost covered the loop holes.
However, the tempo seems to be lost in the second half and feels like the director has faltered at one point. But the story catches the momentum again with some well etched scenes on Allu Arjun and Rajendra Prasad. Tanikella Bharani's dialogues to his son Allu Arjun were too good. Director Trivikram Srinivas has managed the entire movie with his excellent dialogues. Some of those dialogues not only makes the audience clap but to relate them to their real life.
Teluguone Perspective :
Trivikram Srinivas took a simple subject but tried to execute every scene with a logic. The dialogue “Mana daggara logic kanna magic ne nammutharu. Anduke India lo scientist kanna Babale chala famous” received huge applause from each and every person. Director tried to copy the bank robbery concept from Hollywood movie 'The Dark Knight' but has executed well with desi mix. First half of the movie has got loads of hilarious dialogues and funny episodes.
Director Trivikram Srinivas tried to change the second half genre with some unexpected twists. Though entertainment quotient is no less in second half, most of the times director tried to shift the focus on the hero and the villain. Songs have been picturized extremely well and almost every song looks good. 'Julayi' is a perfect Trivikram mark film blended with right mixture of entertainment and action.
Performances :
Allu Arjun has excelled in the lead role as Ravi. His dialogue timing, dance moves are simply superb. Ileana is good and her chemistry with Allu Arjun is perfect. Rajendra Prasad has done a fabulous role as police commissioner and well wisher of Allu Arjun. Brahmanandam and MS Narayana have provided comic relief. Tanikella Bharani as Allu Arjun's father and Sonu Sood as Bittu have done wonderful job.
Technicalities :
Trivikram Srinivas is perfect example for the tag “Captain Of the Ship”. He has excelled as a dialogue writer and a terrific narrator. Majority of the film success must be accredited to this captain of the ship. Cinematography by Chota and Sam is good. Music and Background score by Devi Sri Prasad needs a special mention. Especially “O madhu” “Chakkani Bike Undhi” are too good. Editing work by Prawin Pudi is adequate and production values of Haarika & Hassine Creations are grand.
Positives :
Trivikram's Dialogues
Allu Arjun's dances and performance
Songs
Negatives :
Slow Second Half
Final Word : Julayi has got right mixture of entertainment and action. You can keep your money on this Trivikram mark entertainer.
