Jagadguru Adi shankara Movie Review: After a very long time, another movie with devotional touch from Bharavi. Here is the complete review of Jagadguru adi shankara movie. Have a look.
Story: Adi shankara who was born in a shiva devotee family will be brought up until his toddler stage. He then desires to turn as a saint. He leaves his home, family and everything. Rest of the story is all about, for what he does so? And what good things he do after turning out into a saint.
Analysis: Director bharavi made this film as a complete devotional flick, aiming at the youth. Film started with a short montage of Adi shankaracharya life. For that, megastar lent his voice. First half of the story dealt with the saint’s birth, how he turns into a person with exceptional holiness etc. second half is all about his powers, his sayings etc. and ends up with a short message for youth.
Telugu one perspective: Though the movie has a perfect compilation problem, as the director is a debutante, marks can be given for his extraordinary thought for turning out a saint’s story into a youth provoking one. Visual effects, animation are used abundantly. Songs in the movie are said to be a great fetch. Bharavi, who have good experience as a writer for devotional flicks like annamayya, sriramadasu etc..have done a good job in giving extraordinary dialogues with fine vocabulary. Comedy too has played a major part in this devotional genre.
Performances: Topnotch actors like Nagarjuna (Chandaludu), Mohan Babu, Nagendrababu (sadhu), Tanikela Bharani and Srihari performed very well. Vishal, who bared the character of Adi shankaracharya bind the audience to their seats with his performance. Sriram Chandra too proved that he can not only sing well but can act too. Naga srivatsav has given good music. Few songs are really a fest to the rusted ears.
Technicalities: cinematography is good. Visual effects and animation work does a lot in the movie.BGM played a very key role.
Positives: story
Music
Acting
Final word: Adi shankara is a must watch for youth atleast for a single time.
