Akkineni Nageswara Rao(ANR) Birthday : Legendary actor Dr Akkineni Nageswara Rao is celebrating his 89th birthday today. Popularly known as ANR, this legendary actor has started working in Telugu movies since 1941. In his 78-year acting career, he pre-dominantly worked in Telugu cinema and has received nation’s highest award for films, ‘Dada Saheb Phalke Award’. ANR has also received NTR National Award in the year 1996 and he is one of rare actors who received Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibushan and Padma Sri Awards. ANR has acted in more than 256 Telugu movies and 26 Tamil movies.
