SS Rajamouli directed Baahubali series has been widely appreciated and has made great impact at the box office. Many celebrities across the nation came out in open to heap praises on the magnum opus. However, it seems like a veteran Malayalam filmmaker isn't impressed with Baahubali, as he made some shocking comments on the film.
Veteran Malayalam writer and filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan opened up about his views on Baahubali series. Gopalakrishnan stated that Baahubali is a copy of fantasy film Pathala Bhairavi, which was released way back in the year 1991. The maverick film-maker also mentioned that films like Baahubali create a negative impact on society.
“I will not even spend even Rs 10 for Baahubali. If there is Rs 10 crore, we can make 10 good movies, similarly, with Rs 100 crore, 100 movies can be made,” stated Gopalakrishnan
Interim, Baahubali 2 is still creating waves at the box office. The film has scripted some untouchable records at the Indian box office especially in Gopalakrishnan's home state, i.e. in Kerala.
