Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s Peddi, produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, has emerged as South India’s highest grosser of the year and the team celebrated the success with a grand Mega Blockbuster Event.

Ram Charan expressed happiness seeing families and children celebrating the film and stated that parents are bringing kids to theatres to learn sportsmanship and values. Sharing a sweet moment, he revealed that his daughter Klin Kaara stopped calling him “Nanna” and started calling him “Peddi”, eventually turning it into “Peddi Nanna” at home. He thanked Sukumar for bringing the story, Buchi Babu Sana for conceiving it and appreciated producer Satish Kilaru’s passion. He also credited AR Rahman, Rathnavelu and the entire cast and crew.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s speech became the emotional high point. He stated that Peddi made him feel ten times prouder than Rangasthalam and said Charan has become a complete actor. Chiranjeevi revealed that watching Charan perform and suffer an eye injury during the film reminded him of his father worrying about him during Goonda shoot days.

He further revealed Charan’s strict diet, exhausting training and dedication for the role. “Charan can relax as a star but he works doubly hard. He became a Complete Actor and I am proud to say my son has crossed me. It is no longer Chiranjeevi’s son… it is Charan Jeevi,” said the Megastar to huge cheers. He stated that he is happy to a back seat with Charan forward but he will still keep working and entertaining audiences.
