Of late, producers are not daring to release their films on own with a fear of incurring losses. When a popular star on board and distributors are offering handsome amounts, filmmakers are showing interest to sell theatrical rights to enjoy table profits much before film hits the screens.
However, makers of Ghazi are releasing their film on own in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages in 3500 screens worldwide, which is a huge number for a Rana Daggubati starrer film. While production cost bomb for producers of Matinee Entertainments and PVP Cinema, own release is further burden for them. Point to be noted here that, Karan Johar is providing his banner for the film, but hasn’t bought the Hindi rights.
What’s more, the makers with over confidence have screened premiere shows in various cities across the country much earlier. Fortunately, the film is receiving critical applause from everywhere. Nonetheless, there is no guarantee of a film clicking at box office, though it is lauded by critics and one section of audiences.
Let’s wait and see how Ghazi performs at box office!
