Updated : May 4, 2026

Making a debut in film production is always a massive gamble, but for businessman-turned-producer Abhinav, it was a carefully calculated one. After spending a decade across various business ventures, he is stepping into Tollywood with the rural family drama Godari Gattupaina. He didn't rush the process, listening to nearly ten different scripts before finally locking director Subhash Chandra’s narrative. Explaining his choice, Abhinav shared, "I wanted to make a film with emotions that connect to everyone universally, and this story perfectly fell into place."

One of the most intriguing creative choices in the project is casting Sumanth Prabhas. Known naturally for his authentic Telangana dialect, dropping the young actor into a hardcore Godavari backdrop seemed like a risky mismatch on paper. However, Abhinav viewed this linguistic hurdle as a major positive. "He learned the Godavari slang perfectly and took it up as a challenge. Only when it is tough, there is satisfaction as an actor," the producer noted.

Beyond the casting, the film’s execution heavily relied on meticulous pre-production to avoid the usual chaotic nature of film sets. For a businessman, structured planning is everything, and Abhinav found his ideal collaborator in Subhash. "He showed every detail related to the shooting, including the frames, on paper. The entire film shoot happened flawlessly according to a strict plan," he explained, praising the director's intense focus.

With veteran Jagapathi Babu and heroine Nidhi Pradeep anchoring what Abhinav describes as a "very peculiar" emotional bond, the film is gearing up for a worldwide release on May 8. Backed by industry heavyweights like Sunil Narang and Suresh Babu, it will be interesting to see how this strictly planned rural drama resonates at the box office.
