Though 'Makkhi' was not able to create the magic at the box-office, it has won the accolades of many Bollywood film makers and actors. India's one of the finest film makers, Shekar Kapur quoted 'Makkhi' as the best ever movie with graphics, released in India. According to the grapevine, 'Makkhi' satellite rights has been bought by a popular national channel for a whopping amount of 8 crores. This is the highest ever price recorded for a dubbed Telugu film.
