After Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced notes ban, many turned brokers to exchange old notes with new ones. Even, few Tollywood personalities involved in money-laundering.
The Banjara Hills police arrested a couple of persons at a film post-production studio in Hyderabad in March in connection with the money laundering case. They seized more than Rs.1.30 crore with banned old currency notes and shut down the studio.
However, the top brass of the black money racket, Nalluri Ramakrishna aka Kittu, a young Telugu director who had directed a disaster film called Ketugadu absconded in the police raid then.
After an extensive search, the police have caught the director at Charla in Khammam. Kittu had reportedly fled to Bengaluru and even tried to negotiate with the police as to come out of the case. But the police didn’t bend for his huge offers.
