Updated : Dec 17, 2024

Pushpa 2 The Rule starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, is ruling the box office charts with phenomenal collections in North India. It is not doing the same in Overseas markets and South Indian markets. Still, North Indian frenzy run is carrying it to the top of All-Time grossers list in Indian Cinema.

It crossed SS Rajamouli's RRR and KGF Chapter 2 to become the third highest. It is setting its eye on Baahubali 2 gross and it needs Christmas holiday season to be slightly free in Telugu states for the collections to improve in regular ticket rates.

Mythri Movie Makers have anticipated much better reception for the film in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil markets but astronomical ticket hikes for the first weekend and week, have deserted the screens from playing to capacity. Makers have decided to change their strategy and decrease the rates from first Monday but still damage couldn't be reversed.

So, they looked at Christmas season to be helpful for them while if film can sustain momentum, it can collect better during New Years' Eve as well. But for the same season, Nithiin's Robinhood has been scheduled for release. Mythri Movie Makers are producing this film, too.

Nithiin wanted the film to release for Christmas and New Years' Eve. He anticipated it to be his comeback after many failures with Bheeshma director, Venky Kudumula at the helm. Sreeleela is also playing the leading lady role, so his expectations have been huge from this film.

Producers have also stated that the work for the film is over except a song. Now, they have decided to postpone it without announcing another release date. Looks like Pushpa 2 has forced them to give more time to Robinhood from 25th December release.
