Updated : Mar 6, 2025

Chhaava starring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna has become a huge blockbuster collecting over Rs.500 crores gross worldwide. The movie Telugu dubbed version is scheduled for a wide grand release on 7th March. Geetha Arts is distributing the film in Telugu States and they took initiative to dub it as well.

The movie release in Telugu has now run into a big trouble as AP Muslim Federation President Mohammad Ziya ul Haq has submitted a request to Nellore District Collector to stop the film's release. He stated that the film has tweaked and twisted the history to glorify Hindu King, Chatrapathi Shambaji Maharaj.

He reasoned that as the movie tweaks the history and hurts the sentiments of their community, it should be banned from releasing in Telugu. The makers did not receive any sort of recommendation or order regarding the stay of the release yet. For now, the makers are maintaining that the movie will release in Telugu as planned.

The movie is produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Laxman Utekar. Maddock Films has produced the film in Hindi and the movie released on 14th February 2025 and AR Rahman composed the music for the film. Movie received great critical acclaim for performances of Vicky Kaushal and Akshaye Khanna.
