Yuvasamrat Naga Chaitanya, Sai Pallavi starrer Thandel is releasing on 7th February. The movie is directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Bunny Vasu. Allu Aravind is presenting the film and trailer of the film has gone viral. Chandoo Mondeti talked about the film and praised Naga Chaitanya's commitment. 

He said, "We had planned many sequences on sea and we shot mid-sea in real locations. With scorching heat and baking hot temperatures during noon time only we could shoot. Still, never Naga Chaitanya complained once about harsh weather." 

He further elaborated, "Many actors used to get seasickness and had blood vomits still Chaitanya used to act without any fear. Not even once he asked us to postpone a schedule or denied to give another take. He gave more than his 100% for the film." 

Chandoo stated that he took inspiration from real incidents happened in lives of fishermen from Srikakulam and they have been arrested in Pakistan during 2018-2020. He further revealed that Thandel Raju will be the leader of 22 fishermen in the film and Pakistan episode won't be in the film for more than 20 minutes.
  

He classified Thandel as an epic romance and he wrote it keeping Geetanjali in mind. He stated that he loved the film and watched it several times after completing all works. He even stated that Allu Aravind also loved it after watching the first copy.
