Analysis:
Director Suseenthiran didn’t waste much time to narrate the story. Movie starts with Sundeep Kishan’s father, a head constable, joins a private hospital for a surgery and is passed away due to negligence of doctors. After that, film focuses on friendship of Sundeep Kishan and Vikranth who care for each other. Vikranth is an arrogant and his arrogance is shown in the episode where a financier attacks Sundeep Kishan. Mehreen meets Sundeep at an examination center and the episode was funny. Praveen’s suicide bit was unexciting. More than hero and his friends director elevated villain’s gang- how they take up assignments and how they blackmail their own customers for money. When Sundeep tries to save his friend, he gets to know a shocking fact about the villain’s batch. Actually, the batch wasn’t mean to kill Vikranth but some other? Who’s that? Due to sluggish narration and predictable twists, movie appeared tedious.
Artists Performances:
Sundeep Kishan is improving as an actor for each and every film. He is simple yet brilliant in the role of a middle class guy who takes good care of his family and friends. Vikranth is decent as Sundeep Kishan’s friend. Mehreen Pirzada looked dazzling in traditional attire. Satya provided some relief here and there. Praveen was mind-numbing. Harish Uthaman was the show-stealer. Other artists played their roles efficiently.
Technical Aspect:
Director Suseenthiran is known for making suspense thrillers engagingly. C/O Surya is also a suspense thriller. But, the movie appeared tedious owing to easily predictable screenplay. D Imman’s music is biggest asset of the film. While songs were middling, re-recording was fascinating. Cinematography by Laxman Kumar was vivid. Editing by Kasi Viswanathan was below par. Production values of Lakshmi Narasimha Entertainments are good.
Verdict:
C/O Surya is a boring saga with sluggish narration. The movie may not do well at box office.
