Bollywood Actress Amrita Rao was introduced to Telugu audience in the movie “Athidi”. Athidi was her first movie in Telugu and she didn’t work for any other Telugu movies after that. She acted in few Bollywood movies but couldn’t turn herself into a star heroine. Now she is working as a singer and is acting for TV serials.

Recently Amrita Rao said that, even if she worked for less number of films she gained popularity and never kept any restrictions regarding directors or producers, neither did she compete with anyone. She stated that, there weren’t any god fathers or super star boyfriends to provide opportunities for her or to encourage her in Bollywood. She also said, “I am very proud for what I have done. I have got an opportunity to work in three films casting against Amithabh and Tabu in 2010. I also received remuneration for my songs. But due to certain circumstances those movies didn’t go onto the sets and my time got wasted because of that as well as it ruined my career.”
