Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna's most special film Bhairava Dweepam completes 23 years today. The Singeetam Srinivasa Rao written and directed folklore fantasy film was released on April 14th, 1994. The film wasn't a blockbuster at box office, it earned good name for Balakrishna for his ultimate acting, dances and fights.

Roja played lead actress in the film, wherein Rambha enthralled in a special appearance. Madhavapeddi provided wonderful tunes. Kabir Lal's cinematography was other big asset of the film.

Produced by B Venkatarama Reddy on Chandamama Vijaya Pictures banner,  Bhairava Dweepam was lauded by all section of audiences. Director Singeetam reminded the legendary filmmaker Vittalacharya by mesmerizing spectators with unbelievable graphics were incorporated in the film.

Bhairava Dweepam had won several awards, including four Nandi awards and a filmfare award.
