Baahubali has been making news for a long time now. Considering the major success, Baahubali: The Conclusion has achieved, the movie has been gaining more and more hype everyday. Move over from the reports of Sridevi rejecting Sivagami character we have the news on possibly the biggest rejection that Rajamouli had to face when he was in search of his principle cast of Baahubali.

The actual choice of Rajamouli to play the loyal Kattappa in Baahubali is the Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. The role of Kattappa was first offered to Mohanlal but this actor rejected the role. Rajamouli may not have any complaints as Sathyaraj played the role to perfection. But, if Mohanlal had essayed the same character, the impact would have mightier.

Initially Nayanthara was the first choice to essay Devasena, but it is rejected by Nayanthara then Rajamouli settled with Anushka. However the final cast has been incredible and gained an equally amazing response for the movie.
