Story:
A blind guy Gautam (Raj Tarun) who works as a radio Jackie falls in love with a doctor (eye specialist) Nethra (Hebah Patel). However, he doesn’t reveal about his defect to Nethra who becomes very close to him in no time. When Nethra gets to know about Gautam’s deficiency, she helps him to have done eyes transplantation. Ever since Gautam gets eye vision, he is followed by a ghost Kulakarni (Rajendra Prasad) who forces him to do two murders. What the back story behind it? Who is Kulakarni? Whom Kulakarni asks to murder? What will Gautam do now?

Analysis:
Good thing is that Raj Tarun accepting to do an experimental film like Andhagadu where he is seen blind for almost 40 minutes. However, he should have cautious about screenplay and few other things. Movie starts with Raj Tarun requesting a doctor to remove his eyes. When the doctor questions why, he starts narrating his story. Tarun says that his life was very much joyful when he was blind. But, when it comes to visuals he is seen faulting god always for not giving him eyes.

Tarun’s life wasn’t colorful with all girls rejecting his love. Then, he makes a decision to marry Hebah who is kind hearted and is also beautiful. But, he hides about his deficiency at her with a fear of she may also reject him. The sequences of Tarun managing to be a perfect person with no defects at Hebah with help of his friend Satya are very funny. Film takes new twist with a spirit of Rajendra Prasad whose eyes are transplanted follows Tarun and the former forces the latter to kill two criminals. Another twist in the tale arrives when the doctor Ashish Vidyarthi finds few mysterious things at Tarun’s home. While the twist was mind-blowing, the back story wasn’t imposing. Pre-climax portions were also unimpressive.

Artists Performances:

Raj Tarun has pulled off the role of a blind person efficiently. Apparently, he did some research to play the role. Actually, playing such role was a challenge for any actor. But, Raj Tarun exhibited his acting skills by essaying it aptly. His comedy timing was superb. There were few hilarious sequences in first half and Raj Tarun made them look extra entertaining with his witty acts. Hebah Patel didn’t get much to perform but looked glamorous. Rajendra Prasad provided entertainment. The sequences of Rajendra Prasad troubling Raj Tarun came out really well. Ashish Vidyarthi and Sayaji Shinde are okay. Raja Ravindra is not up to the mark.

Technical Aspect:
Veligonda Srinivas who made sure that his film will have some unexpected twists has botched to pen script engagingly. Though first half was entertaining, there’s nothing much to describe in second half, except for a twist is revealed. Although the director has scope to generate fun in second half, he didn’t at all utilize it. Shekar Chandra provided audio was pathetic and background score was mediocre. Cinematography by Rajashekar was pretty average, wherein editing was also poor. Production values of AK Entertainment were substandard.

Verdict:
Andhhagadu is another disappointer from Raj Tarun. The film may not appeal to any section of audiences.
