Amazon ventured into video streaming business few months ago. Guess what, they are investing massive amounts to acquire digital rights of Telugu films. Much surprise to movie buffs, Amazon spent whopping Rs 6 crores to obtain mega hero Varun Tej starrer Mister much before the film hit the screens. Now, they have signed a big deal with makers of mega power star Ram Charan's upcoming film Rangasthalam 1985.
As per reliable sources, Rangasthalam 1985 online rights were sold to Amazon's prime video for Rs 10.25 crores. It is also heard that, Amazon officials are also in talks with makers of few upcoming Telugu biggies. Point to be noted here that, the films which will be uploaded in Prime Video should not be uploaded in any YouTube channel or other video streaming portals.
Coming to Rangasthalam 1985, the film directed by Sukumar is progressing at dead slow pace.
