Aakash, son of Puri Jagannadh, would be playing Pawan Kalyan’s childhood character in his upcoming movie ‘Gabbar Singh'. The movie director Hairsh Shankar has decided to get on board Aakash for this character. Aakash is well versed with childhood characters since he earlier played the childhood characters of Ram Charan Tej in ‘Chirutha’ and Prabhas in ‘Bujjigadu’. He was featuring as main lead in a yet to be release movie ‘Lotus Pond’.

Shruti Hassan is playing the female lead and Abhimanya Singh (Bukka reddy Rakta Charitra) is playing the villain replacing Sonu Sood. Suhasini is enacting Pawan Kalyan's mother. Looks like almost the entire casting has been finalized and producer Ganesh Babu, under his Parameswara Arts banner, is making all arrangements to start the shooting by September 9. The locations has been nail down as Hyderabad, Pollachhi, Maha Baleswar, Panchgani, Rajasthan and Utter Pradesh.
