ANR Virtual Production Stage successfully launched in Hyd

King Akkineni Nagarjuna‘s Annapurna Studios and the Chennai-based film technology company, Qube Cinema, has teamed up and launched a full-service virtual production stage in Hyderabad. This state-of-the-art ICVFX (In-Camera Visual Effects) facility promises to revolutionise the production process for filmmakers.

The ANR Virtual Production Stage has been conducting tests since October 2022 and has already been used to shoot multiple movies, ads, and music videos. The technology used in the setup is cutting-edge, featuring brilliant technology for filmmakers to revolutionize the cinema. The ANR Virtual Production Stage is a state-of-the-art facility that allows filmmakers to tell stories without being limited by location or space.

In a nutshell, the production stage aims to help content creators — the companies hope to get Indian and overseas filmmakers to use it — work on their films and release them faster, with the use of LED technology. The production stage is said to be a handy tool in enabling filmmakers to shoot the vast majority of their films within the four walls of the studio itself.

Nagarjuna Akkineni of Annapurna Studios said, “The successful launch of the ANR Virtual Production Stage is a testament to our commitment to delivering cutting-edge services to our clients. Our strengths and experience in making movies and running studios, in tandem with Qube’s technical knowledge, make this a great collaboration. Virtual production enables the creative mind to imagine without limit and then create it.”
