"Baahubali: The Beginning", carved by ace filmmaker Rajamouli has once again proved its mettle. The film has won the "Best Film" award at 63rd National Film Awards beating the likes of Bajirao Mastani and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Three special juries constituted by the government have adjudged Baahubali as the best movie ever made in the country last year.


That's a feather in the cap for SS Rajamouli and his producers Shobu and Prasad. Undoubtedly Baahubali took the name of Telugu Cinema to the national level and the pride of Indian cinema to the world. It's swashbuckling collections and terrific response from audiences are making everyone stand on toes now as they wait for Baahubali: The Conclusion, that is set for early 2017 release.


In other news, we have Amitab Bachhan honoured with Best Actor award for his role in Piku, while Kangana Ranaut grabbed Best Actress for her role in Tanu Weds Manu Returns. For Bajirao Mastani, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is the best director.
