Director Krish who is basking on the success of Gautamiputra Satakarni will next be making a trilingual film in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. The project which is biopic of Jhansi Rani Laxmibai will have National Award winning Kangana Ranaut portraying the queen. The film titled Manikarnika will be produced by Bollywood ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Jhani Rani was born as Manikarnika, so Krish titled the biopic after her original name.
Latest buzz is that, Rajamouli’s dad and ace writer Vijayendra Prasad has been roped into supervise script of Manikarnika. Vijayendra Prasad who penned stories for several blockbusters in Telugu has experience of working for Hindi cinema with Bajrangi Bhaijaan for which he penned story.
It is also heard that, Kangana is taking part in script writing and is also said to assist Krish in direction. Currently, in last stages of script works, the biopic is likely to go on floors in May.
