Updated : Mar 3, 2026

The successful duo of Akkineni Nagarjuna and director Kalyan Krishna Kurasala is set to reunite for an upcoming project, marking their third collaboration. Following the massive success of Soggade Chinni Nayana and its sequel Bangarraju, the pair is looking to complete a hat-trick of hits.

Annapurna Studios recently confirmed that this new venture is slated for a grand release on January 15, 2027, eyeing the lucrative Sankranthi festive window. The choice of date is significant, as it mirrors the release day of their first blockbuster together.

While official details regarding the title and full cast remain under wraps, the announcement featured the iconic dialogue "Vaasivaadi Tassadiyya," sparking intense speculation that the film could be another installment in the Bangarraju franchise. Kalyan Krishna is currently finalizing the script, which is expected to be a family entertainer tailored to Nagarjuna’s screen presence.

There are also reports suggesting that Naga Chaitanya or Akhil Akkineni might play key roles, potentially making it another multi-starrer from the Akkineni stable. As Nagarjuna balances this project alongside his milestone 100th film, fans are eager to see if this collaboration will once again dominate the box office.
