Reports appearing in Tamil magazines that Hansika has paid her fans to get a temple built for her. Hansika made her debut with Puri Jagannath directed and Allu Arjun starred Desamuduru Telugu movie. Later she acted in several Telugu movies and went on to do Tamil movies. There Hansika gained a lot of fans and they even proposed earlier to perform her 'Abhishekam' with milk.

But what Tamil magazines say is, though Hansika enjoys plenty of fan following, it's not sufficient for the fans to build a temple for her. Hansika gave them money and getting the temple built for her. On the other hand, Hansika vehemently argues that she doesn't need any temple built for nor she paid any one for that. It's the fans who are building this temple for her. By the way, Tamil fans are well known for building temples of their cine idols. In the past temples have been built for Khushboo and Namitha. No wonder if they are building a temple for Hansika as
well!
