But recent rumors state that the makers brought him on board to shoot the film in 70MM film format, giving an ode to their peak stardom, time period. Both seniors worked during film camera innovation till the digital age without great dip in their popularity. 

On top of it, makers are planning this move as Christopher Nolan been doing it for his films for years. The makers want to explore shooting on film roll without digital cameras.
