When Geetha Arts signed Sukumar to do a subject, he initially thought of Varun Sandesh and Geetha Arts immediately gave the nod. When Allu Aravind asked Sukumar to give him the budget, which was around 12 crores.

However, Geetha Arts had a different game plan. They were strongly contemplating how good it is 1o invest 12 crores on Varun Sandesh and they finally decided to get Naga Chaitanya and oust Varun Sandesh. Geetha Arts later conducted a photo shoot between Naga Chaitanya and Tamanna and the response was fantastic and they've decided to ahead with Naga Chaitanya and Tamanna.
