Updated : May 15, 2026

Bollywood actress Mouni Roy and her husband Suraj Nambiar have officially confirmed their divorce, ending their four-year marriage. In a joint statement released on social media, the former couple shared that their decision to separate was mutual and amicable, stemming from evolving personal priorities.

They strongly requested privacy and urged the public to stop spreading sensationalized rumors or fictitious narratives about their private lives.  Despite their direct plea for respect, the internet has been ablaze with speculation regarding the reasons behind the split.

Social media platforms are currently buzzing with unverified rumors focusing on Mouni's close bond with fellow actress Disha Patani. The two have frequently traveled together and shared glimpses of their strong friendship online, which has recently led to wild theories among netizens.

Many users are actively circulating gossip suggesting that the two actresses are bisexual and secretly in a romantic relationship, further fueling the public chatter around Mouni's divorce.  While Mouni and Suraj have explicitly called out the spread of blatant falsehoods, the online gossip mill continues to churn. As of now, Mouni and Disha have always maintained that they are simply best friends, leaving these widespread social media claims completely unconfirmed and speculative.
