Updated : May 25, 2026

Ranveer Singh recently delivered huge Rs.1000 crores grossers with Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2. He is prepping for his next film, Pralay. But he is banned by FWICE and IFTDA for non-cooperation and this means technical crew cannot work with him. The major reason for this is his feud with Farhan Akhtar over Don 3.

Ranveer abruptly walked out of the project just three weeks before the shoot was scheduled to begin. At this critical stage, major production workflows, from set construction to preliminary VFX and editing prep, are usually already locked in and heavily funded. Hence, Farhan requested refund and it is reported that he would be paid from profits of Pralay and next production by Ranveer.

Still, Farhan Akhtar filed an official complaint demanding Rs. 45 crores in compensation to cover the audited pre-production expenses. When industry bodies like IFTDA and FWICE attempted to mediate, Ranveer remained unresponsive. His team eventually replied by dismissing the federation's jurisdiction over the matter entirely.

In response, FWICE has issued a strict non-cooperation directive against the actor. This mandate means the entire technical backbone of the industry—from cinematographers and editors to lightmen and spot boys—is forbidden from working with Ranveer on any film or commercial.

FWICE officials stressed that sudden cancellations severely damage the livelihoods of the technical crews who rely on these massive projects. Despite the heavy sanctions, Farhan's team has kept the door open for a peaceful negotiation to resolve the financial dispute.
