Hasith Goli interview about Sree Vishnu Swag?

Film Details:

Sree Vishnu's "Swag," produced by TG Vishwaprasad under People Media Factory, features Ritu Varma as the heroine, with Meera Jasmine and Daksha Nagarkar in important roles. The film has already created a huge buzz with its promotional content and will hit theaters on October 4. In a recent press conference, director Hasith Goli shared insights about the film.

No Compromise on Story and Fun

In "Swag," there’s no compromise on the story or the fun. The screenplay is very engaging, and Sree Vishnu's diverse characters will surprise the audience.

Title Explanation:

When the film was announced, there was curiosity about the English title "Swag." Hasith explained, "After hearing the narration, Vivek was surprised by the title, thinking it felt like a Accha Telugu film. There’s a reason it resonates as a Telugu movie—it contains a lot of rooted content that’s rarely depicted in films. We touch on different generations, including characters from the present, the '90s, and even the '70s. The script is deeply rooted in our culture, focusing on a clan’s story with pure Telugu elements."

Message of the Film:

"This film isn’t designed to deliver a specific message. The male-female conflict has existed throughout history and will continue to do so. We explore this dynamic through generations, highlighting its relevance today. While it’s not a message-driven story, it examines how this conflict has evolved."

Character Insights:

The characters Yayathi and Bhavabhuti are named for their rhythmic significance. Yayatbi is a king from the Yadhu dynasty in the Puranas, while Bhavabhuti’s name adds to the thematic resonance. All four characters are equally important, and their interactions will create an engaging narrative.

Screenplay Quality:

"We’ve put a lot of care into the screenplay. We aimed for clarity so that everyone can understand it. The linear screenplay is very engaging, ensuring there’s no confusion for the audience. The story offers organic humor without clashing with the narrative, and the interval block is particularly impactful."

Ritu Varma’s Role:

"Ritu portrays a strong character in the film. We believed she would be perfect for this role, and she has performed exceptionally well."

Sree Vishnu’s Preparation:

"This is the first time Sree Vishnu is taking on such diverse roles, and we embraced this challenge as a team. He brought incredible energy to his performances. The characters he plays will surprise viewers, especially Bhavabhuti, which connects with everyone. There are many surprises in store, and you’ll need to see them on screen."

Meera Jasmine’s Character

"Meera Jasmine’s role is memorable. She loved the story and expressed that she didn’t expect such a film to emerge in Telugu cinema."

Music by Vivek Sagar:

"We collaborated with Vivek Sagar for 'Rajaraja Chora,' and his background score is a significant strength for this film. It will engage the audience effectively."

Possibility of a Sequel:

"This story has the potential for continuation. It's about lineage, and anyone's story could fit into these characters. However, this film will complete its narrative arc.

Production Design:

"GM Shekhar is the production designer, and we’ve created a set called Vamsa Vriksha Nilayam that provides a very authentic atmosphere."

Future Projects:

"I have ideas for my next story, but they need to be fully developed. Fantasy is my favorite genre, and I aim to make a film in that space."
