Superstar Rajinikanth delivered another big Industry Blockbuster with his Jailer 2. The movie crossed Rs. 650 crores gross worldwide and it is looking to firmly establish its position as All-Time No.1 grosser for any Tamil Movie as it has open run till Diwali, when Ramayana and Suriya's Scene will release.

While the Rajinimania has crubbed the box office, the discussions about why Santhanam portions have been cut are going on in the industry. Recent gossip reports state that Nelson Dilipkumar wanted a 10-15 minute portion before Rajinikanth enters Kalpak House in Goa and he utilised Santhanam in a comical cameo.

But as the movie is being edited and final copy is getting ready, Nelson felt that he received negative feedback during Jailer time for giving more importance to comedy than action or elevating Rajini character. So, he chopped off those portions and concentrated more on keeping it Rajini driven second half.

As the movie is receiving such huge appreciation and has become Industry hit, the makers are happy with his decisions and there could be a Jailer 3 with some of these portions or characters to be used, opine gossip mongers. Anirudh Ravichander's music for the film is receiving unanimous appreciation and SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vidya Balan, Mohanlal, Hrithik Roshan, Shiva Rajkumar, Mithun Chakraborthy have been cast in this Sun Pictures production.
